Projet Rivjèka 2022
Second edition realized in summer 2022
1.7. - 9.7.2022 in Neuchâtel and Kandersteg
24 young people gathered in Neuchâtel ans in Kandersteg to learn about river ecology ans nature education for children.
The last wild rivers in Europe are located in the Balkans. They are in danger due to the construction of many hydropower plants with a huge number of them threatening rivers of Bosnia-Herzegovina. In Switzerland, due to intense use of water courses and land, ecological quality is in a problematic state in most Swiss rivers.
The Rivjèka project wants to raise awareness about river ecology and climate change, make us develop a better sense for our natural environment, its beauty and value, and to exchange on tools and methods in youth work.
L'équipe Rivjeka 2022 remercie à Pro Natura, movetia, le canton de Neuchâtel et tout le monde qui a soutenu notre magnifique échange 2022 !
"It was a really great week with many nice memories and I learned a lot about rivers and the influence of hydro powerplants."
"I will mostly take beautiful social-human moments with me, laughter, support, understanding and little gestures which make big differences (positively)."
"After Rivjeka, I feel hugely motivated to expand my knowledge on river protection and continue my activism work."
